Government Benefits Educators is a nonprofit organization that exists because federal employees deserve better than generic retirement advice from people who've never dealt with FERS, Special Provision FERS, TSP, FEGLI or FEHB.

Our educators are retired federal employees who spent decades navigating the same benefit systems you're trying to understand. Now they're sharing what they learned—including the mistakes they wish they'd avoided and the strategies that worked.

As career professional AF DoD civil servant, Walt is well versed on the Federal Benefits available to federal employees. He was onboard during the transition from CSRS to FERS as well as a lifetime TSP participant member since its inception in 1987.
